Procedures and Methods Used in Building Croatian-English Parallel Corpus

The contribution gives a survey of procedures and formats used in building the first Croatian-English parallel corpus. The corpus material is being collected in the Institute of Linguistics at the Philosophical Faculty, University of Zagreb. The Croatia Weekly newspaper which is being published from the beggining of 1998 is the primary text source. The preliminary results of test aligning are also being presented.
